Certified Reflexologists

Reflexologists do not diagnose, prescribe or treat specific conditions and should not be used as a substitute for necessary medical treatment. They treat the whole person, often working together with other medical and complementary therapies to achieve the best results for the client. When selecting a Reflexologist, it is important to choose as you would any other professional. Reflexologists are trained and certified practitioners holding membership in provincial and/or national Associations. These Associations require that all members adhere to a strict code of ethics and conduct along with professional standards of practice.

Techniques used in Reflexology are firm but usually not painful, although consideration must be given to the fact that tenderness normally indicates tension and congestion in the immediate area and in the corresponding part of the body. Reflexology does not require a condition to be beneficial. The practice is a wonderful way to feel better and gain a sense of health and well-being, providing inner calm and an increase in energy. Reflexology sessions usually last 45 minutes to 1 hour, generally costing $40 to $65 depending on geographical location and the service provided. Depending on the focus of a session the number of sessions required will vary. For a health problem, expect to commit to a series of 10 sessions before assessing results.
