BOOKS, DVD'S AND VIDEOS

The Bailey Family Trust Library Collection

The Bailey family generously donated Ollie and Joe Bailey's Reflexology and Health related book and video collection to the BC Chapter after their passing.  Ollie Bailey was involved with RAC for many years on a local, provincial, national and international level.  She was a provincial teacher-trainer for RAC, a founder of the BC Chapter and very active on the national board.  She was also on the ICR Board and the driving force behind the ICR Conference held in Vancouver in 1995.  Ollie traveled and studied Reflexology world wide. She passed away in 1997 and then Joe followed her two years later.  Joe was first and foremost a wonderful supportive husband, an exceptional human being with an incredible smile, as well as a certified Reflexologist and RAC examiner. They were an amazing and inspiring team.

The Bailey family's intent was that the collection be made as accessible as possible to the membership. Approximately 300 books and videos were catalogued by Donna Toews and Kitty Broeder. The collection was divided into three groups for three geographical areas of British Columbia.

The Bailey Collection as well as other books, videos and DVD's divided among the regions within BC will be rotated for maximum exposure. Borrowing for RAC-BC members is free although a $20 deposit is required, which will be refunded upon return of the item(s).  Books/videos or DVD's can be shipped from any region to any location provided that the cost of postage (return) and packaging is paid by the borrower. In order to respect the time of the volunteer Librarians, please phone and arrange for a mutually convenient time for viewing a collection. Books within the region will also be available for viewing at chapter and/or local meetings.
